  2. Hi

My name is Rox-Anne Harripaulsingh. I am an Information Technology and Technology Education teacher from Naparima Girls High School, Victoria region.

I am currently teaching Technology Education to forms 1 & 2 and NCSE Information Technology to form 3 and CSEC Information Technology form 4 and Information Technology CAPE upper form 6.

My students are very hardworking and always interested in technology. Visit our school's website at

http://naparimagirls.edu.tt/09/. We have just celebrate our 100th anniversary!

I rarely find time for hobbies but I do spent alot of time caring for my dogs and I am also a member of our animal activist club at school.

As an IT teacher using the technology to deliver the syllabus is commonplace. Making students use the technology to gain maximum understanding and enjoyment of the lesson taught is a challenge.I do teach IT at other institutions and use collaborative tools to communicate with my students but at an older age group and maintaining interest is hard. I hope to this course will help me bridge the gap.

Our school has computers connected to the Internet in the staffroom; only a few but our lab can accommodate 28 students with similar access. Only a few classrooms has computers but my form 1s and 2s had their laptops. I use my personal laptop and mobile in between to keep updated with my emails, wikis and so on.
